By providing a full week of forest school activities at Little Cataraqui Conservation Area, students from Polson Park Public School have the opportunity to gain confidence for self-guided play and exploration of nature. Students are physically active throughout the day, enjoying fresh air and new experiences that are not accessible to them in the regular classroom. Outdoor play promotes a healthy lifestyle for children and can also benefit their emotional development by offering them an alternative setting to observe, create, and problem-solve independently or with a team.
